These Terms & Conditions apply to all website visitors, clients, bookings, gift voucher purchases, and services provided by Solid Ink Tattoo.
By accessing our website, booking an appointment, purchasing a gift voucher, paying a deposit, or receiving a service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Solid Ink Tattoo operates as a licensed tattoo studio in accordance with the requirements of Waverley Borough Council, Surrey.
2. Nature of Services (Insurance-Critical)
Solid Ink Tattoo provides cosmetic artistic tattoo services only and is not a medical facility.
Tattooing and cosmetic tattooing are artistic procedures and not medical or clinical treatments.
No medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment is given or implied.
Clients are responsible for seeking medical advice where appropriate prior to booking.
3. Website Use
The content on this website is provided for general information only.
We reserve the right to update, amend, or remove website content at any time.
You agree not to misuse this website or attempt unauthorised access to systems or data.
4. Bookings & Appointments
- All appointments are subject to availability
- Bookings are confirmed only once a deposit has been received
- Appointment times are reserved exclusively for the client
- If a client chooses to stop or is unable to complete their tattoo during a booked session, the full appointment fee remains payable. This charge reflects the artist’s time, preparation, and the loss of opportunity to rebook the appointment slot.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service where treatment is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or where required consent or medical disclosure has not been provided.
5. Deposits
- All bookings require a non-refundable deposit
- Deposits secure appointment time and cover artist preparation and lost opportunity costs
- Deposits are deducted from the final price unless otherwise agreed
- Deposits are not transferable to another person
6. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows
- All deposits are non-refundable and secure appointment time and artist preparation only. At the discretion of the studio owner, a deposit may be transferred once only to a new appointment date, subject to availability.
- No-shows will forfeit the deposit in full
- If a client arrives 30 minutes or more late for their appointment, Solid Ink Ltd reserves the right to cancel the appointment and retain the deposit in accordance with our cancellation policy.
- Deposits may be transferred once only, subject to availability and sufficient notice – under desecration of the owner
- Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings
7. Pricing & Payments
- Prices are discussed and agreed prior to appointments where possible
- Final pricing may vary depending on design changes, placement, size, or session length
- Payment is due on completion of the service unless agreed otherwise
8. Documentation & Insurance Claims
Solid Ink Tattoo does not issue medical-style receipts, treatment reports, or documentation intended for:
- Medical insurance claims
- Health insurance reimbursement
- Clinical or therapeutic records
As tattooing is a cosmetic art service and not a medical procedure, insurance documentation cannot be provided under any circumstances.
Proof of payment and booking is provided only in the following forms:
- Bank transfer records showing date, time, and amount paid
- Appointment cards issued in-studio confirming booking details
- Email booking confirmations confirming session details and agreed pricing
These documents serve as proof of purchase only.
9. Gift Vouchers
- Gift vouchers are available for purchase in-studio or online (where offered)
- Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash
- Vouchers must be presented at booking or appointment
- Vouchers may be used as full or part payment
- Any remaining balance after redemption is not refundable
Voucher Validity & Booking Requirement
Gift vouchers must be used to make a booking within three (3) months of the voucher issue date.
The appointment itself does not need to take place within this three-month period, provided the booking is made within the valid timeframe.
Gift vouchers that are not used to secure a booking within three (3) months of the issue date will expire and become void.
Cancellations & No-Shows
- Appointments booked using gift vouchers are subject to the same cancellation and no-show terms
- Failure to attend may result in partial or full forfeiture of the voucher
10. Age Restrictions
- Clients must be 18 years of age or over
- Valid photographic ID may be required
- We do not tattoo minors under any circumstances
11. Medical Disclosure & Consent (Insurance-Critical)
Clients must truthfully disclose all relevant medical information prior to treatment.
Medical disclosure and consent are confirmed via a signed paper consent form completed in-studio.
Failure to disclose relevant medical information may:
- Increase the risk of complications
- Affect healing outcomes
- Limit liability where permitted by law
12. Aftercare Responsibility
Aftercare instructions are provided verbally and/or in writing.
Once the client leaves the studio, responsibility for aftercare rests solely with the client.
Solid Ink Tattoo cannot be held responsible for outcomes resulting from:
- Failure to follow aftercare instructions
- Lifestyle factors
- Individual healing responses
- Undisclosed medical conditions
13. Semi-Permanent Makeup (SPMU)
For cosmetic tattooing and semi-permanent makeup:
- Results vary based on skin type, age, lifestyle, and healing response
- Fading, patchiness, or colour change is normal
- Results are not guaranteed
- Touch-ups are not included unless agreed in advance
These outcomes are not considered faults.
14. Photography & Intellectual Property
- Photographs of completed work may be taken with client consent
- Images may be used for portfolio, website, or social media
- Consent may be declined in writing prior to photography
All artwork, designs, and images remain the intellectual property of Solid Ink Tattoo unless agreed otherwise.
15. Data Protection & Cookies
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Cookies are managed using the Complianz GDPR Cookie Consent plugin.
Cookie preferences may be managed or withdrawn at any time via the cookie banner.
16. Limitation of Liability (Insurer-Approved)
All services are provided with reasonable skill and care in accordance with industry standards.
We do not guarantee:
- Healing outcomes
- Colour retention
- Final appearance
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solid Ink Tattoo shall not be liable for:
- Natural healing variations
- Allergic reactions
- Client dissatisfaction based on subjective expectations
- Complications arising from undisclosed medical information
- Failure to follow aftercare instructions
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
17. Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service where:
- The client is under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Consent is not provided
- Treatment is deemed unsafe or inappropriate
- Behaviour is abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate
- In such circumstances, the appointment may be cancelled, the deposit forfeited, and the client may be invoiced for any time already worked, at the discretion of the studio owner, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
